Retired RGSD Teachers Working as Permanent Substitute Teachers

On July 1, 2022, Governor Mike Parson signed legislation that waives the working after retirement limits on part-time or temporary-substitute work performed by PSRS/PEERS retirees as substitute teachers for covered employers or third-party providers between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2025.

In order to fill some of the teacher vacancies, Riverview Gardens School District is extending an offer to RGSD retirees to come back and work as permanent substitute teachers through June 30, 2025. The District is offering retirees 75% of their last salary, plus benefits.

As a RGSD retiree, we invite you to participate in this opportunity to continue educating scholars, earn additional income without any penalties through the PSRS/PEERS and maintain full benefits.
